Lindy & Ashlee

Ashlee and Lindy split time between their norther Minnesota island homestead and their tiny off-grid cabin in the Rocky Mountains near Montana's Big Blackfoot River.  Living a portion of the year next to the BWCA and the rest of the year within the Crown Of The Continent Ecosystem, where grizzly bears still roam, gives them incredible access to some of the lower 48 States most amazing and wild landscapes.  Living simply, and having access to these public lands from their small homesteads is these wilderness lovers dream come true.  (the photo above is from Montana)

Ashlee Kveton grew up a city girl, but has embraced a life in the wilds with Lindy wholeheartedly!  She explores wild country hunting, fishing, trapping, and eating food from the land enthusiastically, and has even been known to out fish Lindy from time to time!  Her backcountry skills and powers of observation on trail are admirable, and she looks forward to growing as she shares the trail with friends and guests for many years to come!

Lindy (aka Kyle Lind) is the owner and lead guide at Boundary Waters Bushcraft and Wilderness Adventures.  His experience includes guiding fishing trips in the BWCAW (Boundary waters Canoe Area Wilderness), teaching wilderness survival and bushcraft in the Northern Rocky Mountains and in Minnesota's Arrowhead Region and restoring those wild lands as an ecological restoration technician.  He completed a craft internship at North House Folk School in 2013, where he completed many traditional wilderness handcrafts, and made life long friends.   He continues to be actively involved with North House.  Along with his partner and Co-Guide Ashlee Kveton he has built a couple of cabins in the woods.  One is situated on a 7 mile long Island just south of the BWCA, and one is in the Northern Rockies Crown of the Continent Ecosystem where Grizzly Bears still roam the Lower 48.  Lindy's passion for experiencing life in wild places and living close to the land has led him to seek out a traditional way of life in order to spend as much time as possible in wild country.  As your lead guide and instructor Lindy works tirelessly demystifying the lost art of living with the land, and providing his guests with unforgettable Wilderness Experiences!
